The System Failed Conrad and Adrienne Rockenhaus
This site exists because one family’s suffering reveals something deeply broken in a system we are taught should protect people.
This is the story of Conrad and Adrienne Rockenhaus, a disabled veteran and his wife, who have endured a cascade of harm, terrorization, and institutional resistance from the very legal system that is supposed to uphold rights and human dignity.
Conrad, a 100% disabled veteran, has faced serious medical needs after a traumatic injury. Despite clear evidence of danger and urgent requests for appropriate care, he has been held in conditions that exacerbated his suffering. Adrienne, his partner, fought not only to document what was happening to him but to insist on basic humanity: that he receive proper medical treatment.
Instead of care, they encountered:
-
procedural barriers and institutional silence,
-
repeated denials of urgent requests,
-
delayed or deflected responses by officials,
-
a system that treated documentation and suffering as “cases” rather than human lives.
This website is not an abstract legal analysis. It is a record of harm, a witness to suffering, and a call for accountability. Here you will find:
-
public documents,
-
firsthand accounts,
-
timelines of events,
-
and evidence that exposes how ordinary legal processes became a source of ongoing pain.
We center people, not paperwork.
We name suffering, not statutes.
We believe that when systems fail to protect disabled people, when they ignore urgent medical needs, and when they bury human harm in procedure, the harm becomes part of the story, and must not be erased.
You are welcome here.
You are invited to read, understand, and bear witness.
This is the story of Law Flaws, and of two people who deserve care, dignity, and justice.
